 · Double-click the file you want to open. If the file still won’t open, click “Browse” and search for the file. At the bottom of the “Open” dialog box, click the small arrow next to the “Open button”, then choose “Open and Repair” from the context menu. Follow the steps to do so: First, launch Microsoft Office Excel And click File Open from the menu for opening the Open window. Now choose the folder that contains the XLSM file using the integrated file browser choose the XLSM file. Then click .  · Just save the file. Since you have iWork [Numbers] and not Office [Excel], Numbers will be the default application to open the file. Another possible cause that Excel attachments are not opening correctly or with an error is because of other Excel files or templates in Outlook’s Secure Temp folder. The Secure Temp folder is the folder that Outlook uses to (temporarily) store attachments to that are being opened directly from within Outlook.
